What is diatomaceous earth and what does it do?
Diatomaceous earth or Celite is a natural product that consists of fossils of single cell diatoms. Because of the diversity of shapes with the permeability due to many small holes and the inertness of diatomaceous earth, it is very well suited for removing undissolved particles by means of cake filtration.
